City view residence Austin

This beautiful contemporary residence from Austin, Texas, was designed by Dick Clark Architecture, inspired by the client’s desire to live in a house that reflects their values and lifestyle. The house has modern lines with simple massing, an understated material palette and a lot of glass.

The house features a glass box living area configured for entertainment and the large sliding doors from dining and pool room invite guests outside to the pool deck to check out a spectacular view of the Austin skyline. The home is eco-friendly having a 3kw solar panel system, instant hot water heaters, bio foam insulation, rain water collection that irrigates a good portion of the lot and other highly efficient technologies.

There are visual connections between the living room, dining and kitchen and a see through oak screen separates the stair from the kitchen. The bedroom wing is separated from these open spaces by a floating bookcase/art display millwork piece.
