Set high above the Jamaican capital of Kingston, among the picturesque Blue Mountains, Strawberry Hills is one of the Caribbean island’s most luxurious resorts.

In order to provide an authentic experience, accommodations are in the form of a series of cozy and very comfortable cottages, ranging in size from the 400 square-foot Studio Suite to the 3,000 square-foot Two Bedroom Villa. All these residences have their particular design and are all very charming in their own way.

Guests can get a taste of the finest New Jamaican cuisine at the Strawberry Hill Restaurant, sampling traditional dishes like lamb curry or fish stew, in the wonderful setting provided by the resort’s wraparound veranda. The Bar, on the other hand, is the place to go to enjoy a nice cocktail and the company of friends, old or new.

As welcoming as this little village is, the spectacular surroundings beckon to be explored. Whether it’s going on a hiking trail through the mountains, reveling in the island’s botanical gardens, or discovering Jamaica’s history and culture through its museums and art galleries, it’s certainly going to be an enriching experience.
