California-based company Restoration Hardware specializes in the redesigning and repurposing of vintage items, turning them into luxury modern pieces. One of their more intriguing releases is this 1920s German Light Bulb Voltage Tester Bar.

Just like its name suggests, this is an original light-bulb testing machine salvaged from a German factory which dates back to the 1920s. It has been repurposed as a bar cart which holds spirits, wine bottles, and hanging glassware. Made from iron, the piece has a hinged segment which opens to grant access to bottles and barware, with a small hatch also proving an opening.

The German Light Bulb Voltage Tester Bar is quite a sizeable piece: 39 inches wide, 61.5 inches tall, and 46.5 inches in diameter and weighing in at 265 pounds, it definitely requires a large room and a bit of effort to actually put into place. Once there, however, it provides the space with a certain Steampunk air – something which, we must admit, is kind of cool.
