One of the most well known companies in the world of sailing and cruising is Oceania Cruises. They’ve now added another vessel to their fleet, sister to the Marina, finished in 2011. Their latest, the Riviera, has debuted in this year’s month of May – the genuine apogee of Oceania Cruises in everything that concerns elegance, lavishness, relaxation, high performance and efficiency.

Weighing at a staggering 66,084 tons and being able to accommodate as much as 1,250 total passengers, the cruiser has started its maiden voyage from Venice to Athens during this month, a journey reportedly named the 10-day Pearls of the Aegean.

The president of Oceania Cruises, Kunal S. Kamlani, declared: “As Riviera embarks on her maiden voyage, our guests will no doubt be warmly welcomed by her officers and crew and they are also sure to be impressed by the sophistication and style of this magnificent ship.” He later added: “Riviera is a proud addition to the award-winning Oceania Cruises’ fleet.”

The cruiser, apart from being a sexy creation, is loaded with famous names as well as exquisite materials. It boasts with a Lalique-designed grand lobby, a number of lounges and bars, 10 dining venues, 6 of which open-seated gourmet restaurants, interior designs by New York’s Dakota Jackson and S.B. Long Interiors of Greenwich, Connecticut, and furnishings signed Ralph Lauren Home.

In terms of dishes, the yacht features great shows of culinary experiences. Boasting with names like Bon Appétit Culinary Center and La Reserve, by Wine Spectator, which displays and puts at guests’ disposal wine and food associations, we can definitely say that art combines with food, aboard the Riviera.

Away from foods and finishing, another thing worth mentioning is the Artists’ Loft, a center for those that wish to be taught everything regarding art. Taken care of by a number of artists that live on the vessel, the loft is one perfect place to enjoy beauty itself. The rooms are huge, for every couple or passenger, with large, en-suite bathrooms, while the Baristas Coffee Bar comes to amaze the enthusiasts of the brownish liquor.

All along the period between the 16th of May and 29th of November 2012, the Riviera will found itself enjoying its first season around Europe, with stopovers in Italy, France, Spain, Greece, Portugal, Turkey, Israel, Croatia, Cyprus, Montenegro, Monaco and Morocco. In addition, more than 1,000 brand new cruises and vacation packages are due to be added.
