Richard Branson’s private island, the Makepeace island, located on Australia’s Sunshine Coast on Noosa river, has opened its doors for private lease for $8,000 per night. The heart shaped island has been designed to offer the ultimate levels of privacy and can accommodate up to 22 guests in either the Bali House or the three stylish bures.

Until now the island has been a private retreat only for guests of the owners, Sir Richard Branson and Brett Godfrey, founders of Virgin Australia. Branson has recently declared that when neither Brett or himself are visiting the island, they’ll make this paradise and its facilities available for anyone who wants to enjoy the tranquility of this very special place.

Apart from the beautiful decor and unique location, the 25 acre Balinese-style island also has a tennis court, spa facilities, a lagoon pool, a theatre, office facilities, an expansive indoor bar, a lovely pavilion and a two storey open aired Balinese wantilan. The interior decors include huge sculptures, volcanic boulder bathtubs, antiques and many more interesting things.
