New Electric Bike concept by Vojtech Sojka

Are you sick of working your legs to exhaustion? The guys from Vojtech Sojka have just proposed a curious project, for Superior Bikes, a new electric bike concept. The bike is destined to be equipped with state-of-the-art parts, like Shimano Alfine hub with a carbon belt drive for a top-tech drivetrain.

They save as much weight as possible and to keep its looks as normal as possible, they will mount the battery in the tube under the seat and the motor into the bottom bracket, also giving the bike a sleek style. The aluminum frame will be hydro-foamed. The bike handles pretty smoothly, thanks to the Schwalbe Super Moto 2.35’ tires, which add a cushion effect to the contraption.

The designer declared that he had to eliminate the seat stays (device that enables the rider to easily put on the belt), in the process of giving the chassis a diamond-like shape. The bike got heavier with 200 grams, with a smoother belt manipulation as result. The designers also mounted on it rear facing dropouts and a pivoting brake caliper flange, for a more efficient control of the vehicle.

We hope this project will get out of the papers and PC, and will let us enjoy better riding.
