If you like winter just as much as you love relaxing in water, then the Aqua Dome thermal resort in Austria could be the perfect spot for an unforgettable vacation this winter. Located in a breathtaking mountainous setting in Ötztal, one of Austria’s largest ski regions near Tyrol, this resort has been designed to be a distinctive landmark for the region, impressing everyone who gets a chance to visit it.

The resort actually accommodates 350,000 visitors every year, in a modern hotel with two hundred spacious and elegant rooms. The center piece of this high quality alpine retreat is a conical volume that connects three bowl-shaped pools which seem to levitate above the ground, boasting underwater music and several lighting effects.

Aqua Dome also also features a big sauna complex and a seminar space and a more conventional 25 meter pool plus several facilities for children. In total, there are 2,200 meters of aquatic amenities with water originating from a reservoir that’s located 1,865 meters below the ground.

There’s also an observation deck from where you can enjoy the stunning Ötztal Alps, and, in case you want to visit this resort by summer, don’t worry, it’s just as amazing.
