Who wouldn’t want to live in the ex-residence of one of the most famous celebrities of all time? Madonna has recently listed her extravagant Manhattan duplex for sale, according to The Real Estalker. She has acquired this lovely duplex located in the Upper West Side back in 2009, for a staggering $32.5 million and now she’s asking $23.5 million for it.

According to the listing, “a masterful home, the most expansive at Harperley Hall, is now being offered for sale for the first time in the history of the distinguished 1907 cooperative at the corner of 64th Street and Central Park West.” In reality, nobody knows the reasons behind Madonna’s decision to sell the residence, but there are speculations about something related to the 2010 incident when Robert Linhart, Madonna’s stalker, was arrested near the confines of the property.

Other reasons mention Madonna’s neighbors, who have formulated complaints regarding her passion for loud music or even acts of dancing “around so loudly that the apartment above would shake”. She ultimately decided to sell the property, even though she used to pay $11,000 a month for maintenance.

In addition, the home has also been known among real estate agents as “a low-key yet glamorous sanctuary”. Back in the 1980s she had bought only one unit in the block, but has enlarged the home by linking it to two additional neighboring apartments, which she has bought during the years. The massive, stunning duplex now occupies both the 5th and 6th floors of the West 64th Street’s Harperley Hall.

According to the description, the duplex comprises huge closet space, eight bathrooms, a dining room, four separate bedroom wings with seven bedrooms, a claw-foot tub, balconies which overlook the Central Park, 110 feet of Central Park frontage, a library, master bedroom clad in marble and five wood-burning fireplaces.

She has entered into the real estate market for the second time this year, as she has already put the Beverly Hills Mansion up for sale during March. He also has a home in the Hamptons which she is currently renting.
