Egypt is famous for its Pyramids and a few nice beach resorts, but one of the best ways to really get to the heart of this ancient and wonderful land is by getting up close and personal with the one thing that is has had the most influence on Egyptian civilization: the Nile. The Oberoi Zahra is a luxury Nile cruiser that will take you deep in the heart of the country – and will do so in style.

The ship goes up and down the Nile, from Luxor to Aswan, over seven days – offering all the comfort and luxury you would expect from the most high-end hotel. Accommodations include 25 luxury cabins and two luxury suites, with the latter offering a generous 50-square-meter living space and featuring a separate living room plus an attached terrace with a Jacuzzi.

The Oberoi Zahra boasts a full service spa, a theater, gym, outdoor swimming pool and even a library and a cigar lounge.  There’s even a restaurant on board which offers a wide selection of international and Egyptian cuisine.

The seven day cruise takes place between March and October, with a luxury suite costing $1,100 per night at the beginning of the season and $1,800 in October.
