Love Letters Jewelry Collection by Inscribed

Brenda Kang has spent 15 years as a senior jewelry specialist at Christie’s, a position she held in New York, Paris, Geneva, Singapore and China. She certainly has a keen eye for jewelry design, but her experience has also provided her with a unique appreciation of antique and vintage jewelry. This is quite apparent in Love Letters, the first collection released by her company, Inspired Jewelry.

The collection features a number of handcrafted envelope pendants with elegant necklaces and cufflinks. Made from 18k gold, each of these envelopes can be opened to reveal a gold letter plate upon which a message can be inscribed. The envelope pendants also feature a tiny diamond, sapphire or ruby cabochon, available in one of three versions: Slim, Chubby and Mini.

Love Letters is a clever play on words: you can etch messages (the letters part) to a loved one – but there’s also another meaning, as the collection is inspired by the old habit of sending love letters, something that has fallen out of fashion recently. It remains to be seen if the old custom will ever be revived, but for now Love Letters offers an acceptable romantic alternative.
