In 2010, Louis Vuitton unveiled the Tambour Spin Time collection, with its interesting and unique of showing the time – namely, via rotating cubes.

The French fashion house is now revisiting the iconic design and movement developed at La Fabrique du Temps and will this time release a collection dedicated to regattas, appropriately called the Tambour Spin Time Regatta.

According to the new America’s Cup rules, regattas now start in 5 minutes. Consequently, Louis Vuitton’s new timepiece features a chronograph and a 5 minute countdown, which indicates time by 5 rotating cubes, allowing skippers and crews to position themlseves optimally during the countdown. Also, the chronograph’s 30-minute counter will leap forward and move to the 5-minute countdown display in the red counter, thus taking into account the time elapsed before departure.

The Spin Time Regatta comes in a titanium case, with crown and push buttons overmolded with rubber and an elegant black alligator strap with rubber lining. Adding an extra decorative touch, the half-opened dial offers a view of the movement and its circular Côtes de Genève finishing, in addition to the cubes, each supported by an axle ending with a Maltese cross.
