Swiss ultra-luxury watchmaker Jaeger-LeCoultre presents the marvelous Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication. The watch features no fewer than three complications: a minute repeater, a flying tourbillon and a zodiacal calendar.

The minute repeater includes two crystal gongs directly fixed to the sapphire crystal and Trébuchet hammers to create a crystal clear cling at the push of a slide. The flying tourbillion orbits the dial, a sky-chart of the northern hemisphere with the sun performing a full revolution in 24 hours around the rim of this exquisite timepiece.

Finally, there’s the sky chart with zodiacal calendar, where the sky disc completes a rotation in 23 hours and 56 minutes, which is the length of a sidereal day, a unit of measurement sometimes used in astronomy, representing the time it takes the Earth to rotate around its axis in relation to the fixed stars.

The timepiece has a 18-carat white gold case measuring 46.7mm in diameter, with double sapphire crystals, and boasts 294 diamonds totaling 19.8 carats. It is water resistant to 50 meters. The movement is a Swiss manual-wind Jaeger-LeCoultre in-house caliber 945, crafted, assembled and decorated by hand. Done in Maillechort (a copper, zinc, and nickel alloy), it has 49 jewels, beats at 28,800 vph, and has enough power reserve for 48 hours. The watch comes on a blue alligator leather strap with an 18-carat white gold gem-set folding clasp.

The Jaeger-LeCoutre Master Grande Tradition Grande Complication is a limited edition collection comprising just 8 timepieces.
