Caran d’Ache is a Swiss company known for creating exquisite luxury writing instruments. The haute écriture house has teamed up with the equally prestigious French crystal-maker Lalique in order to create an exquisite limited edition collection of crystal writing instruments.

Inspired by the famed Coutard motif, created by René Lalique himself in 1935, which is an image representing sprinkle of water droplets, the pieces are made using high-end materials such as ceramic, blackened gold, rhodium-coated silver, and diamonds. The French company’s skilled master jewelers have delicately set the iconic crystal at the tip of the pen using the LS technique – a symbolic crown for a truly regal instrument. The pens are covered with a sprinkle of ceramic water droplets, which not only makes writing more comfortable, but also greatly enhances the aesthetic aspect as well.

Apart from the writing instruments, Lalique has also created a special inkbottle in satin-brushed crystal which comes with the Crystal and Diamonds edition. These particular pens are presented in a beautifully lacquered box, created in solid sycamore wood and decorated with a shower of crystal cabochons.
