2016 Porsche Cayman Black Edition

Following in the footsteps of the freshly introduced 2016 Carrera 911 and Boxster Black Edition models, Porsche made things painfully clear: it has joined the Dark Side. The 2016 Porsche Cayman Black Edition shares the same extreme ebony exterior/interior motif and also various upgrades, just like its menacing relatives.

Featuring 20-inch Carrera Classic alloys, Bi-Xenon headlamps with Porsche Dynamic Light System and front/rear Park Assist, this Porsche is the cat’s pajamas. Customers are welcomed to go for the Jet Black Metallic paint-job, if they so desire, while inside the cabin the new Cayman Black Edition comes with partial leather trim and a SportDesign steering wheel.

There’s also Porsche’s Communication Management system with sat-nav, a premium Sound Package Plus audio, heated seats, dual-zone climate control, as well as Black Edition door sill plates, rain-sensing wipers and automatic anti-dazzle mirrors.

I guess that long list of equipment says it all, but just in case some don’t just understand that this Cayman is truly special, you also should know that the Black Edition is powered by a mid-mounted 2.7L flat-six engine with 275 horsepower that’s attached to either a 6-speed manual gearbox or optional 7-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic.

Set to arrive in January, the 2016 Porsche Cayman Black Edition will start off at $60,195 – with $63,395 for the automatic. There plenty of options available as well, such as full-leather cabin appointments, a Burmester premium audio system, Sport Suspension, Porsche Active Suspension Management and a Sport Exhaust System. I wonder: does it come with cookies?
