Hotel le Fontanelle

On the rolling Chianti Hills, in the lovely Tuscan countryside of Italy, you will stumble upon the superb Hotel Le Fontanelle, a breathtaking boutique hotel only 20 minutes away from Siena. Surrounded by the beautiful olive groves of Castelnuovo Berardenga, this hotel is actually a gorgeous 13th-century Tuscany villa that has been recently refurbished, keeping its original charm and beauty.

The interiors are beautifully decorated and now include wood windowsills that frame the serene panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Hotel Le Fontanelle also boasts an incredible restaurant, La Colonna, where you may enjoy a wrap-around terrace and exquisite Italian cuisine with a twist.

The open-air L’Orto delle Monache will allow you to taste delicious grilled fish, meat and fresh produce. If you want to burn some calories after dinner, you could always try a refreshing swim in the hotel’s outdoor pool and better yet, you could borrow a bike and start to explore the lovely surroundings of this hotel.

If you plan on staying indoors – why would you want to? – you can even work out at the gym, go for a swim in the indoor pool or simply savor the wellness area. I guess relaxing at the sauna or the Turkish bath sounds better than anything.
