While there are indeed many ridiculous projects on Kickstarter, there are also plenty of gems lying around, looking for support from the public. One of these products is the Hendo Hoverboard – and it’s truly awesome!

It’s been 25 years since Marty McFly’s iconic hoverboard ride and we’ve yet to see a viable, real-life model of the device on the market. Hendo intends to change this by introducing a hoverboard which works by creating magnetic fields around it and floating over a special surface. While this caveat might prove troublesome for those who envision riding something like this on the streets, Hendo is currently working on a solution to allow their product to hover above anything – even water.

Not only that, the company intends to create an entire development ecosystem around this new technology, collaborating with creative individuals and companies from all over the world who want to bring this awesome gadget to as many people as possible. In addition to the obvious recreational use, the technology behind the hoverboard could also be invaluable in construction, transportation, and other areas.
