Hacienda Santa Ines Mountain Retreat

Hacienda Santa Ines is a newly opened mountain retreat in Costa Rica, featuring an unusual combination of high end resort and working ranch. The new Costa Rican mountain resort is set on 300 acres of farmland, hidden in the Tres Rios Mountains that loom 6,000 feet high over Cartago, the country’s former capital city.

It’s available for one family or small group to rent exclusively at a time and it features 11 modern guest rooms and a staff of 25. Every room has iPad and iPod docks and wi-fi connectivity allowing guests to remain connected to the outside world, if they want to. The resort has a special theater room with its own Blu-Ray library, a game room with pool, table tennis and more, a spa and even a special cigar room.

The beautiful surroundings can be enjoyed from the indoor pool and Jacuzzi and even from the fully equipped gym which has state-of-the-art equipment. Guests could enjoy rustic launches in the woods, by the lagoon, or at a variety of barbecue spots dotted throughout the ranch.

The modern stables of the ranch house Fresian horses, perfect for gentle walks or energetic adventures. The retreat also has its own fleet of ATV’s at guests’ disposal, an elaborate 100,000 square-foot paint ball field, 300 cows milked twice daily and many other rustic attractions.

Prices at the Hacienda Santa Ines Mountain Retreat range from $12,000 to $18,500 per day. There is an added price for children and other guests, depending on the ages, from $200 to $500 per day.
