Jardin Escondido

Once upon a time, the great Francis Ford Coppola used to call this breathtaking retreat in Buenos Aires his vacation home, a place where he actually lived for two years. But Jardin Escondido has come a long way ever since and it now invites guests from all over the world to sample boutique Argentinian living in the wonderful and trendy Palermo Soho neighborhood.

Visiting Buenos Aires might have been on your traveling list for a long time, but it should really become imperative to get there, right now. The leafy surrounds of Palermo Soho will prove to be irresistible to anyone, as this cool neighborhood is actually the heart of Buenos Aires’ shopping district, with amazing restaurants, bars and plenty of fancy stores, close at hand.

But you will probably forget about all these, and all your problems as well, as you retreat to your lovely room at Jardin Escondido at the end of the day.

The former residence welcomes guests in a most wonderful way, although it may sound disappointing to find out that just seven suites are available for your choosing. Each of them comes uniquely decorated and was brilliantly named after a member of the Coppola clan.

With that in mind, you should know that the “Francis” Suite, the actual suite where Ford Coppola stayed during his time here, boasts a King bed, a private balcony that overlooks the lovely garden, and a desk that’s just perfect for writing. We’d love to write a few articles for Luxatic from that desk, while enjoying that blissful view.

With three levels, each with gardens, a small swimming pool, plus a cozy outdoor kitchen and barbecue area, guests at Jardin Escondido have nothing to complain about.
