First SRT Viper has been auctioned for $300,000

A premiere in the automotive world, the first SRT Viper has been recently sold for $300,000 at the Barrett-Jackson Orange County auction. The proceeds gained from the auction, will be donated to the Austin Hatcher Foundation for Pediatric Cancer.

The non-profit foundation supports families and children affected by cases of childhood cancer. Beth Paretta, SRT Operations Director, state that: “We’re really excited that the first 2013 SRT Viper went for $300,000, with the entire sum going straight to charity. We couldn’t be happier to raise money for such an important cause.”

The car was previously featured on our website, during April 2012. It comes with an 8.4-liter V10 motor that delivers a whopping 640 HP (477 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. The power reaches the wheels via a 6-speed manual transmission equipped with a limited-slip differential.
