After releasing their “moon” edition of the sci-fi Cyrus Klepcys timepiece last year, Cyrus are back with another version for 2012. The Cyrus Klepcys Mars watch focuses on the red planet, with a stunning red dial and whopping aesthetics.

The dial also boasts a miniature replica of the Red Planet, a rather interesting red spot on the black background of the gadget. The one who took part at designing and putting together the technical details is Jean Francois Mojon, an already fabled enthusiast of timepieces. He has also raised the value of the watch by a considerable lot.

An intriguing mystery in today’s cosmology is the face-like figure on the surface of Mars. The watch sports a replica of this face at the 7 o’clock marker. The face had been discovered in July 1976, during the Viking 1 satellite journey, sent into space to take photos of the surface of the Red Planet, in order to find a suitable landing spot for Viking 2. The public hasn’t received much information regarding the figure, even after Viking 2 has officially ended back in 1980.

The overall looks of the watch have remained quite the same as the previous, with a similar vertically shaped quadrangular casing, home to a spiral multi-layered metallic dial. The level of intricacy is stunningly high, with every subdial having its own particular function and all moving around in a superb symphony of synchronicity.

Furthermore, the little planet moves in perfect harmony, just as the real planet, completing a cycle in 24 hours, 37 minutes and 22 seconds. Not to mention the fact that it perfectly resembles the actual celestial body, in every detail.

We have absolutely no idea about its price at the moment. This superb timepiece will, of course, be a limited edition. This platinum gadget’s production will be stopped once the 66th unit is finished, and that includes the red gold version as well.
