The days of 14th and 15th of April 1912 have remained in the hearts of many after the Titanic has sunk due to the collision with an iceberg and out of the 2224 people that boarded on its maiden voyage, 1514 have lost their lives. Monuments have been built to commemorate the unfortunate event, and a whole suite of memorabilia.

Now a brand new cruise ship, named MS Balmoral, is taking 1,309 people on a journey that mimics the one the Titanic has undergone. The event comes at 100 years after Titanic’s shipwreck, cruising the waters of the Atlantic in exactly the same way its predecessor had done.

The journey lasts for around 12 days, fortunately excluding the accident. The passengers that get aboard the ship are coming from different environments, while family members of those that had taken part at the real tragedy have also been invited. The journey has actually started on the 8th of April 2012, and we believe it has already reached the areas where the Titanic had sunk.

The fine part of the journey is that the tickets, which cost between $4,445 and $9,250, include an ambiance that copies in every detail the one the Titanic used to feature 100 years ago. Every little detail, from the live band that plays old music to the exquisite elements of décor and the safety measures has been carefully planned, to allow for a great experience to every one of the ship’s passengers.

The journey reportedly ensures a great time to citizens from more than 28 countries, all over the world, including researchers and authors studying the wreckage of the Titanic. In addition, during the 14th of April and the 15th, 2 different memorial services will be held on board, as tributes to those who lost their lives in the incident. May God have mercy on their souls!
