The vehicle was purchased by Mr. Gable himself from a branch of Mercedes-Benz in Hollywood. The exceptional car is one of the 1,400 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwings ever sold. Its mechanics have been maintained by Mercedes-Benz, while the restoration process was executed by Paul Russel.
This particular model boasts with a set of rare Rudge knock-off wheels, a Nardi steering wheel and fitted luggage. Furthermore, the Merc bears the signatures of Clark Gable and his wife, Kay Spreckels Gable.
