The Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 Chocolate Timepiece

The Swiss are almost as good at making chocolate as they are at making fine watches – so Swiss watchmaker Cristophe Claret decided to bring the two together (at least aesthetically) thus creating the X-Trem-1 Chocolate limited edition timepiece.

This piece is a new version of the luxurious X-Trem-1 watch released by the brand back in 2012 and features a facelift which includes the usage of 18k red gold and brown PVD coated titanium, providing that “chocolaty” look. Even without these changes, the watch is quite unusual in appearance, with small magnetic balls placed in sapphire crystal tubes along the sides indicating the hours and minutes, as well as a flying tourbillion at six o’clock.

The original Christophe Claret X-Trem-1 was released as a limited edition of only eight timepieces, so chances are there won’t be many more watches in this even more special Chocolate collection. And, in any case, there won’t be many people with the funds to purchase one these either, as the price for one is set at an astounding $308,000.
