This absolutely mind-boggling car was first unveiled earlier this year, but with little about the specs of the series’ best version.

Well, here we are, with yet more news about the potency of the fabulous Corvette Stingray Z51 – they say it is able to reach 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.8 seconds and run the quarter mile in a lightning-fast 12 seconds, at 119 mph max. While cornering, the Chevy Corvette Stingray Z51 is able to put out up to 1.03 Gs, while stopping from 60 mph to naught in 107 feet. As Chevrolet had taken it out for a ride, the car has managed to lap the Grand Course of the Virginia International Raceway in just 2:51.78.

The car Chevy used for testing was fitted with the Z51 package plus the Magnetic Ride Control system. In addition, it comes with a body kit with better aerodynamic index, dry-sump oiling system, improved cooling systems and limited slip diff. The Z51 package will cost you an additional $2,800, while the stock Corvette can be yours for a mere $51,995.
