Paris-based high-end jeweler Chaumet has just released its latest collection, the exquisite Lumières d’Eau.

Created with the Paris Biennale des Antiquaires et Haute Joaillerie taking place this September, the series is inspired by water and all of the forms it can take. Chaumet’s designers have taken the images of everything from gentle waves, to gracious icicles, turning them into beautiful pieces of jewelry. And it’s not just about shape and symbolism: the pieces are made using the finest precious stones, from diamonds, to lapis lazuli, to yellow and blue sapphires.

The collection is also centered on the number 12, an iconic figure in the history of Chaumet, as the company was established in 1780 at 12, Place Vendôme, in the French capital of Paris. Thus the Lumières d’Eau collection is comprised of 12 suites, or sets of jewelry.

While the entire collection will be revealed a few months from now in Paris, you can see a few of the pieces, in the middle of the design and manufacturing process, in the gallery below.
