Of one the standouts in Chanel’s 2014 Spring-Summer Ready-to-Wear collection is the Chanel Backpack. Created by Karl Lagerfeld, it looks like something a student has worn for quite some time, even personalizing it a bit. This cool backpack is customized with graffiti, tags, splashes of paint and colors, with extra details like scoubidous, snap hooks and luggage tags only adding to its youthful feel.

Karl Lagerfeld has decided to throw convention to the wind on this one, with the legendary fashion designer saying he sees a certain lightness and humor in this creation. Even so, the backpack still features iconic symbols the metal initials, the double-C pendant and the painted logo.

The luggage tag boasts an aged finish, and the handle and zipper tag are hand-woven and crafted from excellent leather. Adding to its unconventional, playful look, there’s also a hand-woven scoubidou attached to a metal snap hook.

The Chanel 2014 Spring-Summer Backpack is available in two sizes, plus a third tote-shaped bag, and comes in three colors. It is testament to the fact that, even though Karl Lagerfeld has been on the scene for quite a while, he will never lose his creative touch and ability to surprise.
