Casa Del Acantilado

Designing a jaw dropping home overlooking the Mediterranean doesn’t seem all that difficult; I mean, the stunning views provided by nature and the beautiful sea usually mean that the job is half done once you’ve chosen the perfect location for the property.

But the team at GilBartolomé Architects have dreamed up something totally different, a unique home called Casa Del Acantilado, which roughly translates to House on the Cliff.

Far from the quaint cottage on the edge of an incline, the fantastic Casa Del Acantilado is a modern mansion, built into the side of the cliff. Aside from said stunning views of the sea, this one of a kind property also boasts two levels of accommodations that would make kings envious.

With a charming outdoor terrace that’s complemented by a small, but lovely pool, plus an eye catching wavy tin roof, this house looks like it came straight from fairy tales. It’s interesting to see that this property has managed to blend in beautifully with its stunning surroundings, while also managing to stand out and make us daydream about the perfect home.

Since Casa Del Acantilado is basically built right into the side of the cliff, its underground design allows residents to take advantage of the ground’s temperature year round, keeping the house cool during the hot summer days and warm during winters. Sure, it all comes at a price, but that’s beside the point right now.
