Where Car Art Meets the Baroque Style: the Distinctive Glamour Beetle Armchair

ZAC Glamour design is a Milan-based designer duo specializing in what they call BarocCarArt. Combining Andrea Colombo’s interest in iconic cars with Linda Assandri’s passion for glam details, the Baroque style and Swarovski crystals, their collaboration has produced something quite special: the Glamour Beetle Armchair.

This unique approach to furniture is striking at first, and probably not for everyone, yet there’s something quite endearing about this unconventional piece of furniture. Consisting of a set of actual Volkswagen Beetle MY 1968 wings, combined with an upholstered chair with Swarovski crystals and LED lights, it’s certainly an extravagant piece. You can also choose between 24 kt. gold and silver finishes, as well as leather, faux leather or fabric upholstery, making it a highly customizable piece.

At the end of the day, the Glamour Beetle Armchair is perhaps not ideal for a more formal, somber setting. However, if you want something quirky, unique, but still well-designed and well-crafted, this piece might just be what you’re looking for.
