Breitling’s enduring connection to the world of aviation is well-established, so it comes as no surprise that the Swiss luxury watchmaker has created a special edition to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the world’s largest aviation member association, AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association).

The Navitimer collection is the one designed specifically for aviators and this year’s edition features the AOPA logo on the dial, just like it did in 1954 (and throughout the 1950s and 1960s), when it was the association’s official watch. Another nice symbolic touch is the fact that members can have their name and membership number engraved on the caseback, to really mark this special occasion.

Also worth mentioning is the fact that part of the proceeds from the sale of these watches will go to the Breitling Aviation Scholarship Fund, an organization aiming to foster the next generation of pilots.

This very special Breitling Navitimer edition is available for between $6,500 and $7,655.
