The Maserati MC12 was released in 2004 to signal the Italian manufacture’s return to racing after almost four decades. In spite of its age, it is still a great car that is certain to catch the eye of auto enthusiasts with deep pockets and the need for speed, especially since the only black version ever made is currently on the market.

This excellent sports car is power by a 6.5-liter V12 engine borrowed from the Ferrari Enzo, which churns out 620 hp and 652 Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in 3.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 205 mph (330 km/h).

Just 50 Maserati MC12s have ever been built, 49 of them sporting the traditional pearlescent white and blue paintjob, each of them pre-sold. This one, however, was painted black at the request of its owner – and the result is quite spectacular. With only 800 miles on its odometer, the black Maserati MC12 is for sale by Ferrari of Newport Beach for an undisclosed sum.
