Bentley will bring a new sporty concept to Paris Motor Show

A brand new supercar concept from Bentley is going to be presented on the occasion of the oncoming Paris Motor Show a company renowned for the luxury and exquisiteness it endows its cars with. Although many of their cars are extremely powerful and deliver more HP than actual sports cars, they still are adventuring quite far from their tradition. And that’s not a bad thing at all!

Due to be presented by the end of September, it follows Bentley’s previous attempt to create a sportscar, dating back to 1999, with the Hunaudières, a supercar the Bugatti Veyron resembles strikingly. That one was built on a Lamborghini platform, powered by a Volkswagen W16 engine.

The biggest problem behind Bentley is the lack of innovation and freshness – their cars bear just too little differences, so we’re now focused on the arrival of Bentley’s Mulsanne Convertible, which is probably going to hit markets in around one year time.

As for their newest supercar, we don’t have any technical detailing at all, nor do we have any images. It’s supposedly poised to be a great surprise from the fabled car maker.

The vehicle in the following images is actually the 1999 Bentley Hunaudières, with its naturally aspirated 8.0-liter W16 delivering 623 HP (465 kW) at 6,000 RPM and 760 Nm (560 lb-ft) of torque at 4,000 RPM, and managing to propel the car at speeds of up to 350 km/h (220 mph).
