Bentley has opened a new chapter in terms of elegance with the Mulsanne saloon, revealed on the occasion of the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance back in 2009. This typical Bentley GT combines exquisite hand manufacture with elegance and British class performance.

Convertible cars have been a specialty of Bentley’s since 1919, the year when the company was founded. Their extensive history spans for almost a century now, starting with their first 1920s race-bred 3.0-liter models to the Park Ward S1 Drophead Coupe of the 1950s, to the Corniche and now to this supposedly superb version of the Mulsanne.

Bentley have now come up with the brand new Mulsanne Convertible Concept – they’ve offered us an introspective towards what reportedly is to become the world’s most sophisticated and elegant convertible, a peak of its limited class. It will reportedly be able to fit 4 adults and carry them in stunning luxury with great muscle.

The interior of the car will be inspired from luxurious power boat cabins, intimate yet extremely spacious. They will surely deprive us of their usual painstaking attention to detail, finest materials, chic and modern designs and state of the art refinement.

The Chairman and Chief Executive of Bentley, Wolfgang Dürheimer, declared that “The modern, luxurious, high-tech Mulsanne saloon provides a perfect foundation on which to create the world’s most elegant convertible. The Convertible Concept will extend the appeal of the Mulsanne family, while enhancing the profile of the Bentley brand, particularly in new and emerging markets.”

We’re so anxious to see the outcome of all this fuss!
