The Banyan Tree Shanghai on the Bund is a luxurious retreat set at the very heart of the bustling metropolis.

You’d be hard pressed to find a better location in all of Shanghai: built in the northern part of The Bund, the famous waterfront area in the center of the city, the hotel offers unparalleled access to both historical landmarks and modern commercial centers. The Lujiazui financial district, with its impressive skyline rivaling those of the great global cities in the West, faces The Bund from the other side of the river.

The hotel boasts 130 spacious rooms and suites, offering not only great views (taking advantage of the venue’s prime location), but also an atmosphere of pure luxury. Dining options are just as impressive: from Oceans, the main restaurant, where you can have a nice meal for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, to Ming Yuan, which serves excellent traditional Chinese cuisine. There’s even a great sushi bar called Taihei for guests to try out.

While at the hotel, travelers can enjoy an invigorating spa treatment, a relaxing yoga session, or simply hit the gym and put some of that energy to good use. And then there’s the magnificent city of Shanghai just waiting to be discovered.
