Axor and Philippe Starck have teamed up to create a unique faucet that will turn the simple act of washing your hands into a bit of a mesmerizing experience.

Showcased during the Milan Design Week, the piece is the embodiment, however ethereal it may seem, of the Hansgrohe family’s fascination with water. In fact, Philippe Grohe, Head of the Axor brand, stated that his father, Klaus Grohe, had a particular interest in the vortex phenomenon – which is quite apparent in the Axor Starck V.

When the mixer is turned on, a water vortex is created inside of it, which whirls around gently and then gushes out the transparent crystal glass spout. It’s almost like the water originates in the vortex itself and then smoothly flows toward you along an invisible pathway, creating an enthralling effect.

Available in white, chrome or brass, the Axor Starck V comes as a single lever basin mixer, a 2-hole basin mixer and a single lever mixer version for washbowl. It is certainly a piece that can add a great deal of style to any bathroom.
