Some described it as “the ultimate marriage of astounding audio transparency and sophisticated physical design”. We don’t need that fuss and puss to describe it – we’ll just say it’s superb.
In fact, this piece is the single 572B push-pull amplifier in the world today. It uses directly heated triode output tubes with zero negative feedback, alongside transformer coupling and pure Class A operation. The purpose of all these parts is to provide minimum distortion and sounds of the highest quality.
Unusually, there is a good looking aspect to this piece as well. We can superbly view the warm glow of the vacuum tubes through the transparent glass casing, as well as a huge load of filaments and electrodes. They make this device look like Art-Deco stuff.
