Audi has recently unveiled the A3 clubsport quattro concept which is set to be showcased at Wörthersee, at the end of this month.

The model is based on the S3 Sedan, only instead of the 4-cylinder 2.0 TFSI engine that usually powers the vehicle, the clubsport quattro comes with a 5-cylinder 2.5 TFSI motor taken from the RS Q3. This new powerplant churns out an impressive 525 PS and 600 lb-ft of torque, with all the power delivered to a quattro all-wheel drive system through a seven-speed S tronic gearbox equipped with launch control.

The 3,366-pound vehicle takes just 3.6 seconds to go from 0 to 62 mph and can achieve a top speed of 192.6 mph.

The A3 clubsport quattro features a Magnetic Blue livery and a bolder, more aggressive body which includes CFRP front blade and side sills, together with a big rear diffuser and dual oval exhaust pipes. The interior will be familiar to Audi fans, with bucket seats equipped with four-point seatbelts while the luggage area offers enough room for two racing helmets.

Like most concepts, it is unknown whether the vehicle is ever going to go into production, or if it’s just a means of testing a feature or two for an upcoming release.
