Aquila

A conceptual 50-meter sailing yacht, Aquila is meant to show off solar sails developed with the innovative CIGS solar cells technology. Imagined by Dani Santa Vives, this incredible concept yacht aims to implement the futuristic technology that’s already present in existing transportation, blending it with classical sailing techniques.

Able to accommodate up to 10 passengers, this gorgeous 50-meter yacht comes with a 11.2 meters beam and should – in theory – operate entirely on solar power. It would use green technology from its solar sails to operate all electronic systems on board, but what’s even more interesting is that this yacht can also generate energy from the wind.

The eco-friendly yacht concept features fluid and sculptural aesthetics, with a wonderful fly-bridge designed to provide guests the ultimate ocean experience. A spacious sunbathing area and a small pool, and several sitting and entertainment areas will make any trip on the high seas totally memorable.

Aquila also comes with a special feature, a smart glass installation which allows complete control of the amount of light, glare, as well as heat passing through the yacht. And if that’s not enough to impress you already, this yacht also brags about two big tender garages, that could house an 8-meter tender, jet skis, or various other water toys.

Set sail for the horizon, because nothing will stop this yacht from conquering the Seven Seas.
