AC Schnitzer injects even more coolness in the BMW i8

We all know the BMW i8 is all kinds of amazing and even the designers from BMW think this ride is so uber cool that it doesn’t need any additional vehicle accessories. Every other car from the Bavarian automaker has a lot of personalization and performance programs to choose from, except the BMW i8, which is probably close to perfection as it is.

But if BMW is not offering any upgrades for the hair-rising i8, there are already companies like the German tuners from AC Schnitzer that have started to refine this amazing car. They haven’t touched the car’s unique hybrid powertrain yet, but they’ve managed to make it look even sportier with a new styling kit, a lowered suspension and a stunning set of wheels.

The new body kit is entirely made out of carbon fiber, featuring a new front apron, new side skirts and a sporty rear wing and together with a suspension kit which lowers the ride height by 25 mm up front and 20 mm at the back, it makes the BMW i8 even more aggressive than it normally is.

AC Schnitzer’s BMW i8 also sits on a striking set of 21″ forged alloys wrapped in 245/35 tires up front and 285/30 at the back, which are apparently 4kg lighter than the standard wheels of the i8. The upgrade program for BMW’s hybrid supercar also includes an aluminum pedal set, with aluminum foot rests and new floor mats as well.
