Some of these festivals celebrate only traditional (if we can call it) American cuisine while other just the love to eat food in general, but we can be confident to say, that all of these celebrations are one of a kind and yes – indeed worth visiting.

Maine Lobster Festival

East coast of the United States can be proud of its unique and delicious lobster. And therefore, they are indeed very proud of it, because each July Maine throws a huge festival celebrating everything about this sea animal. Festival runs for about five days and here you can not only taste the best lobster probably in the whole continent but also have fun in traditional fairs, shows, crafts, vendors and even a parade.

Taste of Chicago

The simply called “Taste of Chicago” food festival in the number three of must-visit food festivals’ list. Started in 1980, each year Chicago spends five days celebrating unique and extraordinary Chicago’s cuisine.

And they do celebrate it not only by eating delicious dishes – there usually are tons of activities, live music performances and shows that are all perfectly suitable for families to visit too.

NYC Food and Wine Festival

New York City has something to be proud as well (of course, apart from its marvelous architecture and culture life). We are talking about their Food and Wine festivals which takes places each year in fall and which has a bit bigger mission than just tasting various goods. 100% of the net proceeds from this four days long festival go to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign and the NYC Food Bank.

So it is safe to say that this festival not only pampers foodies from all parts of the world but also takes good care that people who don’t eat that much, can have something to eat as well.

Aspen Food and Wine Classic

Let’s end with Aspen’s one of a kind festival as well. For more than 30 years this festival has been one of the most popular and highest rated ones on the continent. Therefore, it is nothing surprising to learn that many excellent chefs (like Tyler Florence, Giada De Laurentiis, Marcus Samuelsson) love to stop by here and cook something amazing.
