. The car will be officially unveiled in New York at the end of March.

It will however be available during the third quarter of 2013, according to SRT, and will be limited to just 33 units. They will all be garnished with a stunning “Crusher Orange” paintjob and will bear a price tag of $120,500. This means the car is cheaper than the Viper GTS, which costs a stock $125,000, and more expensive than the $102,500 regular Viper.

Performance-wise, the car boasts an 8.4-liter V10 engine which develops 640 HP (477 kW) and 814 Nm (600 lb-ft) of torque. This model, besides the fierce engine, has been fitted with a custom-tuned suspension with two-mode Bilstein Damptronic System developed for racing purposes. In addition, the stock model features aluminium structural X-brace, while the Time Attack Viper was equipped with a lighter carbon fiber one.

The tweaked Viper further comprises larger Brembo braking kit and rides on multi-spoke, lightweight Sidewinder II alloy wheels wrapped in Pirelli P Zero Corsa rubbers. As for the car’s exterior, the new aerodynamic package includes front splitters, a rear appliqué, new rear spoiler and a series of stickers to reveal its identity. According to SRT, they are saving weight if they use stickers instead of regular logos – weird way to save weight, though. Furthermore, according to them, the Time Attack Viper tips the scales at 1,518 kg (3,348 lbs). This is quite significantly less than the stock Viper, which weighs 1,521 kg (3,354 lbs), and way lighter than the Viper GTS with its 1,530 kg (3,374 lbs).

The cabin of the Time Attack has been kept original, except from the brand new bespoke Crusher Orange stitching on the seats, central stack, pull brake, console, doors, steering wheel, shifter head and boot, and on the instrument panel, which, I have to admit, looks absolutely fantastic.
