Tavern Island is a 3.5-acre stretch of land off the coast of Connecticut that has currently been placed on the market.

It features a large mansion, a caretaker’s cottage and even a boat house complete with a workshop, games room, bedroom and a bath. The highlight of the property is definitely the Tudor style 1900 vintage mansion, guaranteed to provide owners and guests with the best possible accommodation while staying on the island.

The island’s previous buyers were Al Zesiger and his wife Barrie, who paid $1 million for it in 1982. Apart from this, Tavern Island has a bit of history, being once owned by legendary Broadway producer Billy Rose and was even host to Marilyn Monroe during the 1950s.

Fast-forward to our time, in which Tavern Island has an asking price of $11 million and eagerly awaits its new owners.
